about

Brief Moments of Horrifying Clarity was recorded as part of a university project aiming to bridge the gap between popular and experimental music. Ranging from washed out, sleepily dissociated lofi indie pop to no-wave inspired freneticism, BMoHC details failing to live up to other people's expectations and ponders humanity from within a sertraline tinted nightmare.

Drums and Piano were tracked in a studio in Melbourne.
Field recordings for track 7 were taken within the Port Phillip Heads Marine National Park.
Everything else was recoded in my mum's kitchen in Portarlington.
All on the stolen lands of the Wadawurrung and Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation.

160 copies were pressed to transparent vinyl with a multicolour splatter by Zenith Records.
There are a few copies still kicking around if you really want to hear the A-side,
I've removed it from bandcamp because I was deeply unsatisfied with my own vocal performance and lyricism.
